Inbox warmup
Last updated: May 4, 2026
Inbox warmup is the process of gradually increasing sending volume from a new email account to build a positive sender reputation before running campaigns at full scale.
Sending high volumes from a brand-new inbox immediately triggers spam filters — ISPs have no history to trust. Warmup solves this by starting slow and ramping up over 2–4 weeks.
How Stamina handles warmup
When Stamina provisions inboxes via DFY setup, warmup begins automatically within 24–72 hours. You don't need to configure, monitor, or intervene — it runs entirely in the background.
During warmup, Stamina:
Sends a low volume of emails between warmed inboxes in a controlled network
Generates positive engagement signals (opens, replies) to establish reputation
Gradually increases daily volume over 2–4 weeks
When can I start sending campaigns?
Accounts are typically ready for campaign use after 2 weeks of warmup. Your GTM strategist will confirm when each inbox is ready to go. Starting campaigns before warmup is complete significantly increases the risk of landing in spam.
Do not manually send large volumes from new inboxes while warmup is running. This disrupts the warmup pattern and can damage sender reputation before it's established.
Warmup and campaigns running simultaneously
Once warmup is complete, campaigns run alongside the warmup process — Stamina continues sending warmup emails in the background to maintain reputation while campaigns send at full volume. You don't need to turn warmup off.
