Ensuring Email Delivery Success
Last updated: April 24, 2026
Running through this checklist before launching any campaign takes five minutes and can prevent deliverability issues that take weeks to fix. Treat it as mandatory for every new campaign and any campaign running from new accounts.
Infrastructure checks
All sending accounts are connected in Email Accounts with a green active status
No accounts showing DKIM, SPF, or authentication error badges
All sending accounts have completed at least 2–4 weeks of warmup (confirmed by GTM strategist)
Daily sending limits are set and appropriate for the warmup stage of each inbox
Campaign configuration checks
Sending schedule is configured (correct days and time window for target time zone)
Sending accounts or account tags are assigned in Options
Per-campaign daily limit is set if needed
Unsubscribe link header is enabled (recommended for all campaigns)
Start date is set or campaign is ready to launch immediately
Content checks
Subject lines don't contain spam trigger words (free, guaranteed, act now, !!!)
Step 1 email contains no external links
Step 1 email contains no images or attachments
All personalization variables have fallback values so no blank spaces appear
Preview has been checked for at least 3 leads to confirm variables are populating correctly
List checks
Lead list has been reviewed in Lead List — enrichment looks clean
Unenriched leads have been handled (skipped, re-enriched, or manually added)
No known customers, competitors, or opted-out contacts are in the list
For imported lists — list was verified before upload (bounce rate below 2%)
If you're unsure about any item on this checklist, contact your GTM strategist before launching. Launching a campaign with deliverability issues is harder to recover from than delaying the launch by a day.
