Sequences is where you write your outbound emails. Add steps, set delays between them, insert personalization variables, and preview how each email will look for a specific lead.

Building a sequence

  1. Open your campaign and click the Sequences tab.
  2. Click Add step to create your first email.
  3. Write a subject line and body. Use the variable picker to insert personalization.
  4. Click the delay block between steps to set how many days to wait before the next step sends.
  5. Click Add step again to add follow-ups.

Variables

Insert variables using the { } button in the editor toolbar or by typing {{ to trigger the picker.

  • {{firstName}}, {{lastName}} — Lead's name
  • {{companyName}} — Lead's company
  • {{email_sequence}} — Full AI-generated personalized first email
  • {{funding}}, {{icp}}, {{job_post}}, {{case_study}} — Individual signal snippets

Step delays

Use the delay block between steps to set the wait time. A typical sequence looks like:

  • Step 1 — Day 0 (sent immediately)
  • Step 2 — Wait 3 days
  • Step 3 — Wait 5 days
  • Step 4 — Wait 7 days

Threading follow-ups

To keep follow-ups in the same email thread, prefix follow-up subject lines with Re: followed by the original subject. This causes the emails to appear as a single thread in the recipient's inbox.

Previewing per lead

Click Preview on any step and select a lead to see exactly how the email will render with all variables populated.
